Philippe Maetz Appointed Managing Director of AICHELIN Subsidiary SAFED
The AICHELIN Group, one of the world’s leading providers of heat treatment solutions, has appointed Philippe Maetz as the new Managing Director of its subsidiary SAFED, based in Besançon, France, effective July 2025.

In his new role, he will be responsible for further expanding the wire mesh belt furnace business in Central and Western Europe. SAFED specializes in heat treatment systems for mass-produced and precision small parts made of steel, stainless steel, and non-ferrous metals, and is part of AICHELIN.
Philippe Maetz brings extensive international industrial experience. He has been with AICHELIN since 2022, most recently serving as Area Sales Manager West Europe at AICHELIN Services GmbH. Prior to that, he held senior positions in sales, engineering, and project management in Germany, France, and Switzerland at companies such as the Hager Group and EKS Keller.
